Chatrium Hotel Riverside Bangkok Review

This was our first stop hotel in Bangkok.  The rest of our time we plan to spend in hostels but thought we would book a nice hotel first in order to get our body clocks adjusted.

The hotel in general is good, facilities are top notch, rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels, lovely strong shower and great view of the city.  There is a free boat across the Chao Phraya River with great access to the train station once across the river.  The food is gorgeous and the room service is a good price too!  I would recommend the pork, it is amazing!  We had breakfast included too and the choice is great!

Facilities wise – it is a fab hotel.  Be careful, we did get ripped off in a taxi from the airport, it should only cost around 300 – 500 Baht. The wifi is also very fast and available throughout the hotel.

Downside for me is the location, it feels like everywhere is far!  If you want to do all the tourist attractions, I would probably say its a bit too far out.  It isn’t the most sociable of hotels either if you want to meet people.

All in all the room is nice though, staff couldn’t be more attentive than they already are and if you want a good nights sleep in Bangkok then its great!

Here are the pics of our room, we stayed in the City View Grand Suite:
