Today the plan was to head to the mountains! We had heard of the cave so decided to head off and try and find them! First stop off… Crazy frog hats on!
Then … Petrol fill up! At 10 baht a litre…(20p) it feels sooooo cheap compared to the UK at £1.30 a litre! It’s like a vending machine to fill up too! Not sure how long they would last at home!
So another hour of driving and windy roads we find the caves!! Yippee! Well excited for it….
We get there with 2hours until dark…trust… We didn’t want to ride back in the dark!
We got blagged that we had to pay for a guide with a lantern… However it wasn’t much money and to be honest it was benificial! The caves were spectacular! We rafted through them and then walked around too with the lady telling us the rocks are… There is a an elephant… There is a dog… There is a UFO! It got a bit ridic to be honest they all just looked like rocks… No animals to be seen!! Judge for yourselves…
We drove back and made it back just in time to keep daylight as the sun set over the mountains as we drive back. Then it was time for a yummy tea with our American friends who we are now going to head to Laos with in the next few days!
We got home and played cards and drank Hong Thong! We were all so tired after our long day that it was an early night for us all, ready for the hot springs tomorrow! I realised too that I had caught the sun on the back of the bike! Woops!
